The Fyre Festival was a legendary scam, but the U.S government will profit off of it

In typical fashion — the U.S government will now auction off items from an otherwise criminal enterprise that went sour. A few years ago, what was then known as the Fyre Festival (an ironically scummy festival that was actually just short of a stay at a Motel 6) hit headlines around the world.

Now the U.S Marshall Service is preparing to sell upwards of 113 items from the crushed festival and will apparently share the profits with the victims of Billy McFarland. McFarland, was one of the main perps in the scam that is currently serving an 8 year sentence for the massive fraudulent event.
