Because well yeah. According to the New York Post, New York City is ramping up its efforts to enforce social distancing. The Post reports that with gorgeous weather in the forecast for New Yorkers, police of all ranks are set to be out in force in all five boroughs to ensure people are compliant.
Police will be prepared to make summonses and arrests for those offending. The news comes after the NYPD and Bill De Blasio caught major flack online for appearing anti-semitic in Brooklyn during the break-up of a mass gathering for a funeral.
