“We have a constitution” Andrew Cuomo denies that Trump can forcibly reopen New York City

Following reports that Trump claims he can forcibly re-open states across America, several Dem governors have chided the American president for those very statements. The first of many governors to sound the alarm, in fact, was NY’ own Andrew Cuomo.

Initially, Trump falsely claimed that the White House holds absolute authority to forcibly re-open states. But in fact, the constitution aligns that in the term of public health and safety those types of decisions are actually always left up to each individual state.

‘The close down was left to the governors to do individually state by state. Now the reopen should be total authority? That makes no sense,’ Cuomo said.

Trump ‘s initial comments after he was reportedly questioned by The Daily Mail.
