To prevent any accidental paywalls on articles that aren’t meant to have them (articles only on a different magazine that is being subverted into its own section of this newspaper) we are temporarily pausing the release of that magazine. The magazine won’t have actual paywalls, but, it will suggest a donation from users in exchange for an ad-free experience.
However, as we continue to monitor and report on the coronavirus situation — we’ve decided to hit pause to prevent coronavirus coverage from either magazine being accidentally blocked by the new magazine ‘s fundraising efforts.
As always, this magazine in which you are reading this article on will never charge users to read it. This particular magazine is ad-supported and our ad revenue is put to great use supporting our overhead costs and server upgrades. We have almost 5 times as many visitors as we did this quarter last year, and are treating this period of the coronavirus as one of our top priorities to ensure everybody is informed.
