Monday evening marked the end of a terrifying search for a missing young woman by the name of Aniah Blanchard. Blanchard, 19, was the step-daughter of Walt Harris — a famed UFC fighter.
It’s with our deepest condolences to Mr. Harris & her family that we can confirm that Alabama State Troopers & the locale District Attorneys’ office have found what they believe to be the human remains of Blanchard. Subsequently, a third person was arrested Monday evening into connection to her disappearance and now grisly murder.
The remains were dumped on a county road just outside of Macon County.
“A complete investigation is underway by ALEA [the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency] and Auburn Police to determine the identity and how the victim came to be at that location. The examination will explore if the remains are those of Aniah Blanchard,” Auburn police told WSFA.
An arrest warrant filed on Monday officially, cited the 2nd arrest of Antwain Shamar Fisher as having helped the 1st man Yazeed dispose of evidence and driving him — effectively making him an accomplice to murder.
