Huge news across America and select cities where Whole Foods is a thing. On Friday, it became public knowledge that the Amazon owned grocer plans to reportedly slash healthcare benefits for part-time workers (in this case those who don’t work more than 30 hours).
Currently Whole Foods has about 95,000 active employees according to publicly available records. Estimates show that the move could leave up to 1,900 reported employees without a form of medical coverage (or eventually force them to buy private coverage).
