She notoriously scammed her way to the top (quite literally), and now she’s facing up to if not more than 15 years in prison. For those that aren’t aware, Sorokin (who went by the name Anna Delvey) lied about being a German heiress worth $62m. Court documents obtained by The Daily News show that prosecutors claim she swindled banks; restaurants, hotels, and even her friends out of millions.

And in that process she allegedly wanted to open an arts centre. Prosecutors further allege that her scam went a little deeper than usual, due in part to the fact that somehow she managed to actually clone and make fake loan documents.

Famously, Sorokin mingled among the elite at New York Fashion Week; Paris Fashion Week, hot-parties (including Paris Hilton and more), and unbelievable other things. She is charged with multiple counts of theft of services; grand larceny, and petty theft. At least one of the grand larceny charges has been dropped according to documents, although the others still stand.
