If Trump didn’t realize it before, he, probably should realize it now. It officially came to light today, that, the Special Counsel has subpoenaed the Trump Organization for documents of all sorts. The move is now the first time the Special Counsel has come close to, well actually did, order the Trump Organization to turn over its own files.
While they did have the power to get a search warrant, most, are noting that it probably wasn’t done out of respect for the White House. Up to this point, WH officials have “been pretty cooperative” in the investigation, although, Trump did previously warn Mueller not to cross “that infamous red line”.
The New York Times reports that several sources did confirm the news, and, it appears a press conference of sorts was actually held. What the exact scope of the latest development is, perhaps, remains unknown.
