2. Big news in South Africa as a government coalition has emerged

According to reports, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has won a re-election in rather dramatic fashion. The AP reports that Ramaphosa won with cross-party support and a partnership with his party and that of the Democratic Alliance. The joint party has agreed to work with ‘the interests of the people’ in mind.

3. Rights groups are calling for inspections of prisons in Israel following the release of some prisoners who have since turned up with varying health problems.

Some rights groups are demanding immediate investigations into Israeli prisons over health concerns. One of those prisoners is Dr Aziz Dweik mentioned below.

4. Donald Trump and President Joe Biden have reportedly agreed to the terms of an upcoming CNN debate.

According to CNN the upcoming debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump taking place on 27 June in Atlanta now has its rules in place. Both parties have agreed to the rules and it will be hosted by CNN ‘s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.

5. Across Europe right now

A diplomat by the name of Yohan Floderus and one other has been freed from Iranian prison in a prisoner swap according to The Guardian.
