U.S launches another retaliatory strike against Houthi rebels further escalating Middle Eastern conflict

American military officials have launched yet another attack on Houthi rebels in the Red Sea amid ongoing tensions between the group and outside forces. According to reports, the attack comes after Houthi promised to retaliate in its form no matter how many times.

The Lowdown

According to ABC News, US officials and allies attacked at least 28 areas in Yemen believed to be associated with the Houthi rebel group. While the attack took place, however, it remains unclear if it is part of a larger effort in the area to force the group to essentially withdrawal from the region.

The Iranian backed group maintains that their attacks are in protest for the West and other governments ‘inaction’ and support of the widespread war in Gaza that has killed thousands of innocent people.
