Brooklyn based scooter service Revel is shutting down because people stopped using the service

Revel which at one point had thousands of scooters across the boroughs is closing its doors. This week the company announced that the scooter portion of its rideshare service is being discontinued due to unsustainable ridership. Its EV portion of its rideshare service will remain active.

According to Tech Crunch, NYC based Revel is ending its scooter service in NYC and San Francisco as the once hailed rideshare service closes its doors for good. The company blamed the closing on plummeting ridership which never quite recovered from the pandemic despite having been at a high at one point in recent times.
