Despite his renewed efforts to stall the trial, Donald Trump is now on trial for the unlawful payments he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. According to reports, a 12-person jury is expected to be selected and the critical importance of this jury certainly cannot be understated.
What’s at stake?
Last year, the Manhattan DA charged Donald Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with payments made to his mistresses just before the election. In those instances, Trump paid out large sums to keep his misdeeds secret to better chance his effort for the White House.
