NYU student group President loses prestigious job offer after claiming Israel is responsible for the attack that took place on Israel

The social and swift action against a NYU student body President has almost been crushing. According to reports, the student has lost a prestigious job offer from a Chicago Law firm but the fallout continues.

Social media for a few days now has been lit up with various commentary about the war. Some of the commentary is catching heat more than others — the comments are below.

“Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life” that began over the weekend with Hamas’ surprise attack on the country. In SBA’s newsletter shared Tuesday, a woman identified as Ryna Workman wrote that Israel’s “regime of state-sanctioned violence” against the Palestinian people “created the conditions that made resistance necessary,” per the New York Times. “I will not condemn Palestinian resistance,” added Workman.

As a result of Workman’s comments, Chicago’s oldest law firm Winston & Strawn rescinded a job offer to the student named.
