A U.S government shutdown has been avoided as Senate passes final hour CR to add 45 days to budget deal negotiations

A government shutdown has been averted. According to reports, the Senate in the final hours of Saturday night helped along what is called a continuing resolution. Otherwise known as in this case Kevin McCarthy’s gold savior.

With the passing, that now means that the government will be funded and open through 17 November according to the Washington Post.
