Dutch PM Mark Rutte announced this week that his government has collapsed. The collapse reportedly occurred following a series of failed talks regarding immigration and how many asylum seekers would be let into the country. Rutte has already submitted his resignation and asked the King for permission to have elections go forward. The country will now face a general election sometime in the next year.
2. The United States has made a dangerous new move that could dramatically change the course of the war depending on how Putin responds.
Critics this weekend are still up in arms over reports that the United States is sending what are called cluster bombs to Ukraine. Cluster Bombs pose a significant risk to civilian life according to numerous experts. The White House has claimed that the decision was not made lightly.
3. Russia’s illegal war and invasion of Ukraine has gone on for more than 500 days with the death toll at more than 9,000 civilian lives
Vladamir Putin ‘s wrath has gone on for more than 500 days throughout Ukraine killing thousands of innocent people. The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission called the situation ‘deplorable’ though many people in charge continue to dance around enforcing laws that could land Putin in jail if he travells out of Russia.
4. The U.S has officially destroyed the last of its chemical weapons stockpile
The world is officially free of *declared* chemical weapons. By declared, we mean those that leaders and despots have actually told people about not the one’s people like Putin are probably hiding somewhere deep in an isolated part of Russia. At the Blue Grass Army Depot in Kentucky workers destroyed rockets this week that contained a GB nerve agent (otherwise known as sarin) marking the end of such weapons and their use that have dated back to nearly World War I.
