In the Supreme Court’s next term, the court is set to decide whether or not domestic abusers can once again own a firearm

Within months the next Supreme Court term is set to begin, and if Americans thought the last term was consequential the next one is set to have potentially terrifying consequences.

According to a release regarding the next term, the court is set to take up a case of a drug dealer in Texas that claims his 2nd amendment right to own a gun was infringed upon when he was arrested for domestic violence. The case originally dates back to last February when the ultra-right-leaning U.S Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit ruled that barring people convicted of domestic violence abuses from owning a gun is unconstitutional.
