The Wagner Group the terrorist military group helping Putin kill scores in Ukraine now says it is handing over Bakhmut to the Russian despot.
Russia ‘s private terrorist military group The Wagner Group has now claimed that it is preparing to hand over control of Bakhmut to the Russians. According to a video message on Telegram, the group’s Putin-connected owner Yevgeny Prigozhin made the announcement that the move(s) would be completed by 1 June. At this time, however, it is not possible to independently verify the claims made by Wagner.
Ukrainian soldiers are understood to still have a big foothold in the southwestern outskirt area of the region. Ukraine has since announced that its long-awaited counteroffensive has now begun as a result of the claims.
