Missing Qatari Princess nobody knew existed has turned up in London and been granted asylum

A Qatari princess that fell so far off the radar that people forgot she existed has turned up again in London. According to leaked documents, the princess has been granted asylum in the United Kingdom amid fears that the homophobic kingdom would otherwise kill her for who she is. It is widely understood that the young woman disappeared in 2015 after escaping to the UK during a family trip at the time and has been in the wind ever since. She has been living in the country with her reported girlfriend ever since.

We won’t mention her name here though the documents were first obtained by the Sunday Times.

The princess has long faced persecution in the country or the idea of t because she is transgender. Homosexuality in Qatar has been illegal since the dawn of time. It is often punishable by death or heavy prison time. LGBTQIA+ people have recently been in the spotlight in the country amid a crackdown by the country during the World Cup even though they had previously claimed they’d be lenient.
