Let’s talk about the ‘Twitter Files’ and why Trump’s comments about suspending the constitution are dangerous

This weekend marked the beginning of what Elon Musk calls ‘the release of the Twitter Files.’ Files that he claims maintain that the previous owner(s) of Twitter so-called colluded with Democratic officials on a number of fronts that have led right-wingers to claim they interfered with the election some time ago. It’s worth noting that none of these things have been proven although what is clear is that the White House appears to possibly played a role in some of the removal of stories; photographs, and videos about what is now known as Hunter Biden ‘s laptop.

Hours after the publication of some of the files, Donald Trump led right-wing calls for the suspension of the United States Constitution. A move that should be universally condemned without question though that probably won’t happen from his peers.

“Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote in a post on the social network Truth Social and accused “Big Tech” of working closely with Democrats. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

The ‘Twitter Files’ do show that Biden ‘s White House directed Twitter ‘s former most inner circle to either debate or delete some items in question about the laptop story. Stories which originated with an initially debunked-and-then-proven-to-be-real story that came from the New York Post. The Post ‘s story was largely censored by Twitter over allegedly violating its hacked materials policy.
