GOP ruled Florida has barred all gender-affirming care for those under 18 going forward. According to Buzzfeed News, the state has barred all care of this type for minors against the backdrop of their misleading campaign that such was already openly performed on minors.
“Let us be the light to the world to determine what is the best care for these folks,” chairperson Dr. David Diamond said during the vote on Friday.
Social media wasted no time in responding to the directive which bans all of this for those under 18 going forward. Doctors who are caught performing any of the following or prescribing any of the following risk losing their license. It’s worth noting that the board who approved this directive is actually all appointed by Ron DeSantis.
