Michigan has finally reached a settlement in the Flint Water Crisis: Reports

A remarkable feat indeed. Several years after news of the lead water crisis in Flint emerged by way of media reports — a settlement has been reached in the case. According to US district court judge Judith Levy, a $626.5m settlement has been approved for thousands of people who had lead in their water for several years. It was often described as one of the greatest scandals ever to hit a U.S city.

CBS reports that claimants and non claimants can submit for their portion of the settlement. Most people are eligible and most people don’t have to go through too many hoops to take part. People will per official information have to present proof that they; their children, or someone in their home was exposed to and or hurt by lead in the water.
