Amid Crimean bridge explosion, Putin set to chair Security Council meeting that may turn dangerous

Vladamir Putin is set to chair the upcoming Russian Security Council meeting that is likely set to be dangerous if not result in severe violence across the region. According to reports, the operational meeting is set to take place on Monday according to TASS. This isn’t entirely out of the ordinary, however, it comes just two days after a mysterious explosion blew up the only bridge linking Crimea to Russia. That bridge in fact was one of Putin ‘s prized possesions and only supply links into the country.

There are even further credible fears that Putin may respond with nuclear weapons although it is unclear who actually attacked the bridge. Some reports out Sunday indicate that Russian officials may have blown up the bridge in an effort to blame Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia ‘s military largely failing in Ukraine.

CNN reports that partial service has been restored along the bridge as has passenger service. Though it is unclear how long this time it may be active before it may be attacked again.
