Officials in Mexico are now offering differing stories about what really happened to all of those missing kids dating back to 2014

Stunning revelations in Mexico today as more information in the 2014 ‘disappearance’ of 43 students in the country continues to make shock-waves even years later. According to the country ‘s Truth Commission, many of the kids were killed by a then army colonel who ordered them killed after having held them hostage in a warehouse. Officials aren’t entirely sure why they were held hostage as this took place during the previous government. The official who recounted this story has been identified as Alejandro Encinas according to the AP.

Encinas revealed that a soldier infiltrated the school involved according to authorities. That soldier is understood to have then aided and abetted the abduction of more than 43 students. The soldier involved has been identified as Col. Jose Rodriguez Perez.

Last week when the ‘Truth Commission” was originally announced Mexico made no mention of Perez or his many activities as having been involved in the human rights scandal. Perez’s involvement is a new addition to Mexico ‘s worst human-rights scandal likely ever recorded.

“There is also information corroborated with [emergency calls] where allegedly six of the 43 disappeared students were held during several days and alive in what they call the old warehouse and from there were turned over to the colonel,” Encinas said. “Allegedly the six students were alive for as many as four days after the events and were killed and disappeared on orders of … then Col. Jose Rodriguez Perez.”
