Jen Shah The Con

Jen Shah is the prime example of an epic fall from grace a fall so extraordinary at this point its been a while since such has happened. Shah ‘s case involving an alleged $5m telemarketing scheme is still heating up, and now, it appears her fate is all but sealed according to TMZ. TMZ on Friday unearthed court documents that show Shah is facing up to 30 years in prison and is being painted by a federal judge as the ringleader of the scam.

At least two members of the ring have already been sentenced to 68 and 70 months in prison per the documents obtained by the US gossip site. Interestingly, Shah and her former assistant Stuart were both placed in the “Tier A” category of likely criminals. That category is defined as people who commit crimes that target others to swindle them out of usually money but usually involves the vulnerable or elderly.

Shah ‘s lawyers maintain that she was tricked into signing documents that apparently gave away her Miranda Rights (in the U.S that’s the phrase cops and or officials must tell someone before they are put in handcuffs or generally the case can be dismissed. It is considered someone’s given right to be told of their “Miranda Rights.”)
