Despite claims by bad actors and the GOP COVID hospitalisations and deaths are now jointly rising in the continental United States. This is the first time that such things are both rising simultaneously since the original outbreak earlier this year. Some U.S cities, particularly those in the midwest, are also reporting such high spikes and hospitalisations that some hospitals are at maximum capacity.
For example, here in New York City (where some of us are based ourselves) we’re now inching toward an almost 3% positivity rate. Now it is no secret that we are not a small town here and even a minor outbreak that isn’t contained can spiral out of control and fast. We witnessed that the first time this happened earlier this year.
CNN reports that hospitalisations; ventilator use, and other things related to COVID-19 are spiking in almost every single state. A recently released task-force report shows that in the next several weeks, er, officials believe the virus will once again maintain its vicegrip on America from coast-to-coast. In fact, some cities are already weighing lockdown restrictions (and some already have them) ahead of the critical late Fall/Winter season that is dead ahead for the United States.
