In Trump ‘s almost laughable conquest to keep records from 6 January from the government — a federal judge in D.C has granted his latest attempt (almost.) House investigators likely will get their hands on the records from that infamous day eventually but it will not be on Friday. The Washington Post reports that the House panel probably will appeal, however, it is unclear how long that will take.
Previously on Tuesday night a judge also ruled that Trump can assert executive privilege, though, Trump is not actually President anymore. The current President Joe Biden, per the ruling, has the right to waive the privilege and release the records. For the time being, the National Archives are barred from releasing the information sought by Congressional investigators and members of the House.
