Government officials in Maldives have announced that Israeli passport holders are banned from entering the idyllic destination.

The Lowdown

According to reports, the government of the Maldives has announced a complete passport ban on Israeli travelers as a result of the ongoing war. CNN reports that Israelis presently in the country have been warned they may have to leave because it may be difficult to receive help if something goes wrong.

The island nation also announced that it will fundraiser funds to help Palestinians displaced and left hungry by Israel’s unlawful war. It comes as Israel struggles to maintain international support as waves of protests across the world in support of Gazans have taken hold.
