Big win notched in Switzerland as high court hands down ruling in climate change lawsuit

Switzerland has been put on notice. According to reports, the European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Switzerland must move fast to change its in action or face steep consequences.

The Lowdown

In an original lawsuit brought on by claims of widespread government in action in regards to climate change, activists and more have won a landmark ruling.

The suit initially was brought by women who said they were more at risk than ever as they age and become more prone to the consequences of major heat waves. In arguments, government officials attempted to put political processes over people but ultimately failed as the court clearly disagreed.
