Fascinating: Researchers believe they may be able to save the nearly extinct wild white Rhino species after all

All the buzz this week isn’t anything political but rather our dear friends in the wild. According to reports, one of the only two remaining white rhinos in the world appears to have been successfully impregnated.

According to the AP, researchers and zookeepers have pulled off quite the feat. The AP notes that a successful embryo transfer has taken place, potentially laying the framework for the species to bounce back from the brink of extinction. Both Rhinos are under armed guard at the Ol Pejeta Conservatory down in Kenya due to their near extinction status.
