Almost ten years ago a stunning model named Reeva Steenkamp was murdered by Olympian sports star Oscar Pistorius. Now ten years later South African news reports announced that Pistorius has been granted parole.
Back on Valentine’s Day 2013, Steenkamp and Pistorius were dating and actively living together. Except their relationship turned deadly after Steenkamp was shot (which Pistorius has always maintained was an accident) through a bathroom door after he thought she was an intruder.
The region’s Dept of Corrections according to local reports announced that the disgraced Olympian will be released from prison on 5 January. He was originally supposed to have spent 13 years and 5 months behind bars for Steenkamp’s death.
