In what is already a long line of mass shootings in America, America now has another notch to its belt as gun violence and the corresponding mental health crises in the country spiral out of control. According to reports, the shooting took place at The Covenant School. Early reports indicate that the shooter and this is rare, has been identified as a woman whose name was Audrey Hale.
3 kids and 3 adults are among those to have lost their lives.
Cops say that Hale opened fire early this morning on the school after having entered through a side door. An exact motive for the shooting isn’t entirely clear at this time. Cops also say that the shooter is understood to have been in possession of a detailed note document; a drawn map of the school, and may have actually attended the school herself at some point in the past.
She managed to somehow gain access to a school that was locked down (the doors were reportedly locked before she entered) shortly after 10am this morning. Police aren’t exactly sure how she got indoors at this time.
