Fraudster Elizabeth Holmes has been sentenced to 11.5 years in prison for her obscene crimes

Silicon Valley fraudster and once-upon-a-time stunt queen Elizabeth Holmes has been sentenced to 11.5 years in federal prison for her fraudulent crimes. According to reports out Friday morning, Holmes was sentenced in California’s federal court over her Theranos scam that bamboozled investors out of obscene amounts of money; lied about the effectiveness of her blood-testing devices, and even outright misled ordinary patients and people.

It is the extraordinary end to a woman ‘s story once hailed as the youngest self-made billionaire ever.

Judge Davila, who presided over the case handed down the shock ruling which means Holmes must turn herself in 27 April 2023. She is currently pregnant with her second child although the judge didn’t let her off the hook for that. Part of the reason Holmes was given the sentence, per the judge, is understood to be the fact she has yet to accept full responsibility for what she did.
