Despite being under criminal investigation, Donald Trump has announced his candidacy for President (again)

Donald Trump has once again announced his candidacy for President of the United States in 2024. According to an announcement from Mar-a-Lago, the former U.S dictator (who is currently under criminal investigation for attempting to overthrow an election among other things) is making a play for the White House once again but has some GOP competitors of his own. His most likely competitor is that of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also of the dictator-like leaders in the GOP ‘s orbit.

A readout of the announcement is as follows:

“Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests and my fellow citizens, America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump, 76, told hundreds of cheering supporters who gathered in the ballroom of his Mar-a-Lago resort for the official announcement.

“In order to make America great and glorious again I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”

Despite such Trump remains under investigation for his efforts to overturn thee election against Joe Biden in the last American election a few years ago.
