Streaming Guide: Here’s what we spent our weekend watching on streaming television

It’s officially Monday which means that it is time for our weekend streaming rewind. This guide is a little inappropriate for the youngsters, so this guide is probably best watched this week once the kids (if you have them) go to sleep.

  1. The Perfect Mother

This perhaps is one of my picks of the weekend. A Mom ‘s worst nightmare come true but a young woman ‘s tragic love story gone wrong all wrapped in one. Anya jets off to Paris from Berlin for college only to drop out of school; meet a handsome migrant from Libya, only for a heinous murder to happen. In a race against time to stop her daughter from going to jail for life, a heartbreaking rape is uncovered in a tale nobody saw coming.

Network: Netflix (In English though French present)

Rating: B+ (Viewer discretion is advised. Show mentions rape; drugs, sexual assault, and is otherwise pretty graphic in nature.)

2. Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me (First Look Trailer) [This comes out 4 November]

3. A Model Family (Netflix)

Recently we fell down the rabbit hole of Korean television and have been as the kids say hooketh ever since. A Model Family stars just that a model family who is struggling both literally and financially only to nearly end in shambles. After unknowingly taking money from a drug cartel and finding it in a van, the only way to escape death and his life further in shambles is to end up working as a drug courier.

Rating: A

Comments: Not appropriate for children or younger audiences. Suggestive; blood, drugs, and the like.
