Streaming Guide: Here’s what we are watching across streaming this week

This week ‘s streaming guide is here and unfortunately for our younger readers, this one is all for the adults. Most of the content in this guide is NC-17 or higher and should not be screened with an adult present. Proceed with caution.

  1. Blonde (Netflix) – Warning depictions of rape; boozing, and references to severe mental health struggles. May be triggering for some audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.

Yet another Marilyn Monroe movie is here but this time it’s half historical half fictional heavy on the dark and tragedy. Not at all suitable for the younger ones, Blonde tells the story from a 2000 book by the same name that happens to be a good read. It explores in depth Marilyn’s life essentially from Marilyn’s point of view and through her many tumultuous relationships and struggles with her own mental health (something she didn’t quite understand given the times.)

Rating: B-

2. Fakes (Netflix)

We’re not huge fans of Netflix these days but this one was pretty funny. Fakes is about a pair of two teenage girls who ironically manage to create a massive fake ID empire only to get busted by the cops later on. This one is probably a good Pg-13 and may be suitable for a teenage binge-partner if you’re home with the kids.

3. Fate: The Winx Saga (Netflix)

If you’re into witches; powers, and lots of supernatural stuff this one is for you. Blaire thought fairies were a make believe thing that only existed in stories until she actually finds out that she is one. Avoiding her own personal struggles and deadly monsters she must navigate a new world to understand who she now is.
