Monday Musings: Liz Truss ‘s plans are here let’s talk about that

Liz Truss one of the frontrunners in the race to become the next Prime Minister has some plans to help people get through the still rising cost of living crisis. According to reports out over the weekend, Truss would implement plans that would otherwise slash VAT down to 5% temporarily. Truss also is understood to have plans that would see income thresholds also temporarily rise to help families along the way and hopefully out of the crises.

None of these plans according to the Daily Mail ‘s reports would add to the already proposed 400 in savings off of energy bills proposed by her opponent Rishi Sunak. In the same report it is said that Truss is considering increasing the winter allowance and as it goes helping people on “universal credit” instead.
