Prosecutors are seeking at least 25 years for R Kelly over his crimes against women and girls

R. Kelly ‘s blockbuster federal sex pest case came to an end last year but now the real portion is coming. Last year, Kelly was convicted on all 9 counts related to the case which included  nine counts of racketeering, child exploitation and sex trafficking.  Now those charges are set to get their day in court again on his reported sentencing date of 25 June.

Reports out Thursday indicate that Kelly will be sentenced on this date and it is widely accepted that prosecutors will ask for a sentence in excess of 25 years for his crimes against women and girls. All but sealing the likelihood that R. Kelly will likely spend most of the rest of his remaining life behind bars.

‘The government respectfully submits that a sentence in excess of 25 years is warranted,’ they stated.

He will also see fines in excess of $50,000-$250,000.
