COVID-19: Deaths are raging in red America but not quite as high in Blue America, revealing a saddening and widening divide

A new study has painted an alarming picture of America. According to that study — the COVID-19 divide particularly the death toll between Republicans and Democrats is only and fastly widening. The analysis was first published by The New York Times in an effort to understand how politics play a part in people’s decision to take the pandemic seriously.

“In October, 25 out of every 100,000 residents of heavily Trump counties died from COVID, more than three times higher than the rate in heavily Biden counties (7.8 per 100,000). October was the fifth consecutive month that the percentage gap between the death rates in Trump counties and Biden counties widened.”
