According to Joe Biden ‘s campaign, Jamie Harrison is poised to become the next Chairman of the Democratic National Convention. Buzzfeed News that Harrison will replace outgoing DNC chair Tom perez who many see as having largely failed during his time in the post.
The pick also comes with people like Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer who will serve as Vice Chair. Meanwhile Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Sen. Tammy Duckworth, and Rep. Filemon Vela who will also serve in some form of vice positions in the organization.
At a time in which the Democratic Party must undergo a major reckoning in America, it appears Joe Biden wants fresh and much younger faces inside the DNC. Under Perez ‘s leadership, the DNC often suffered from claims of being the rocket to the establishment of people who were often dangerously out of touch with the modern Democrat.
