This grim report doesn’t look good for an America hoping to send COVID-19 on its way

A report released Thursday by the Center for Infectious Disease Research has painted a grim picture for a country hoping to send COVID-19 packing. According to the report, America is almost universally in for at least another 18-24 months of significant COVID-19 activity. This means that social distancing measures; limited functions, and more may be a part of daily life in America for the foreseeable future.

Most experts seem to agree that the pandemic will continue throughout summer; a larger second wave in the fall, and then presumably die off sometime next year. The death toll, meanwhile, is expected to continue to climb. There is no exact estimation of how many Americas will die from the virus, however, it is expected to be much higher than predicted by the Trump administration.
