A manhunt remains underway for the suspect in TX neighbourhood slaying

Police in Cleveland Texas are cooperating with massive FBI search efforts for a man accused of violently shooting five of his neighbours. According to the AP, police officials have also acknowledged that they have no idea where the suspect is and he remains on the run.

Francisco Oropesa, 38, remains on the run and is considered to be armed and dangerous according to police. Oropesa was initially involved in a neighbourhood dispute with his neighbours after they attempted to ask him to stop firing his weapon in his yard.

Police say he was identified using an identity card issued by the Mexican government to citizens living outside of the country. Initial searches of his home turned up the AR-15 he reportedly used in the slaying(s) but police aren’t sure if there were any other weapons on his person when he fled.
