And now cops are saying they caught him in the act of planning against another victim. According to local police, the man identified as the prime suspect in the spate of murders is 43-year-old Weslee Brownlee of the very same Stockton area he is believed to have terrorized. Stanley McFadden a local police official confirmed in a weekend presser that they had nabbed the suspect in the midst of it all.
“He was on a mission to kill. He was out hunting,” McFadden said. “We are sure we stopped another killing,” he added. The suspected killer was reportedly captured just after 2am on Saturday armed with a rifle and in a black outfit and a mask.
Brownlee is suspected of killing six men and wounding a woman in the string of shootings, the earliest stretching back to April 2021 and the most recent reported late last month, officials said. Brownlee is believed to have a prior record.
