Convicted pimp Ghislaine Maxwell is facing even more charges in the quest to put her away for life for her crimes. According to reports, a 2016 deposition is now coming back to haunt Maxwell as it has been revealed that she lied in said deposition about her involvement with Epstein. The conviction against her in the most recent case appears to be the grounds prosecutors are using to also charge her for lying in the past.
This particular case also was addressed in 2020 though it dates as far back as 2016. Having originally been filed by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein ‘s most prominent accusers, the case gained renewed attention after Virginia ‘s lawyers released a trove of documentation apparently proving Maxwell viciously lied.
The New York Post reports that the judge Allison Nathan asked attorneys this week to submit schedule proposals for the new charges against her. It is unclear how Maxwell intends to plead against the perjury charges at this time.
