Here’s where Biden stands on $2k stimulus checks

Biden ‘s stimulus plan is here and the bill has a massive price tag. Thus excusing the price tag — the bill has extreme potential to hike up America once again hopefully for the last time until the virus subsides and is over. On Thursday the $1.9T spending bill was release and contains much of what Democrats spent 2020 arguing for to begin with.

Let’s dissect. In this spending bill, Biden indeed brings back paid family leave; $2,000 stimulus checks, and most of what Democrats and progressives have been demanding for months.

I’d like to make something clear though. Democrats argued for $2k checks months ago but because of Republicans only roughly got about $600. At the time of the initial proposal — it was thrown around that they would later on revisit the checks and likely add on what remains to make $2k. This massive proposal contains just that the rest of the promise they had held on to previously.

Democratic soon-to-be majority leader Chuck Schumer has already indicated that he intends to go along with the plan by increasing the payments. Undocumented immigrants would still be ineligible for the payments, however, their spouses and children would be eligible so long as they have their own social security numbers.
