Incoming Call: It’s the spirit of Tamera

Last updated on 2021-02-18

Social media recently has been lit up with talk of why some appear to have a distaste for none other than Tamera Mowry (yes, we’re talking about Tamera as in Tia & Tamera Mowry.) Truth be told —- Tamera Mowry may or may not be racist herself (that much most may never know but can widely be inferred based on her own comments.) But what most can infer is that because of who she married the judgements against her can widely be taken as reason enough to think she may not like her own people much.

The fact that Tamera has been put on trial herself is almost entirely caused by her own actions.

Because why would someone who isn’t in agreement with the seriously harmful; negative, and racist things Fox News says (regardless of what department they apparently worked in) work at Fox News unless they believed that too?

The truth is they wouldn’t. There are way too many outlets in the world, usually, the lot of them no where near as racist or twisted as Fox News no matter the department one wishes to work in. It is less about Housley ‘s skin colour and moreso about the fact he has done little to prove the allegations otherwise besides make fairly discounted comments on social media about being “misrepresented.”

There is a reason why Tamera Mowry is now only found in vanilla Christian movies usually somewhere between Crown Media and the Hallmark Channel.

People no longer like Tamera because and again I’m going to keep it entirely straight forward here. After the wild career that Tamera has had; a successful childhood, and the like —- Tamera Mowry sold herself out and those that idolised her. The tweets below exhibit in almost full-scope why Tamera is a sellout.

Not to mention her unquestioned, unfiltered support for a man who knowingly once said that the murder of Trayvon Martin was apparently justified and could have been prevented has long been enough for many to turn their back on Tamera entirely. Those same comments specifically mentioned that apparently Martin ‘s skin colour were not a factor in his murder — when in fact a 911 call was evident enough to prove otherwise. Trayvon Martin was a young Black dude walking home from the corner store nothing more nothing less. George Zimmerman targeted Martin because “Black” because “omg Black man in a hoodie” “Should I approach.”

As idols, many likely expected better from Tamera. I certainly was surprised to learn even as a blogger years ago that Tamera had married a man with a questionably potentially racist past. A man that up until 2018, was a senior correspondent for a network that given the opportunity themselves likely would have turned on Tamera Mowry herself. There’s no way to say that nicely —- Adam Hously once sold out his own wife to work for a network that for decades hasn’t given two-shits about Black people that includes Tamera.

But then there’s also this.

A previous Twitter user has pointed out a particular something that makes total sense. Tamera ‘s problem isn’t necessarily that she married a white man, er, she married the wrong kind of white man. The type of white man that worked for a network that plagued the streets and airwaves of America that took a job whether he shared the beliefs or not — which makes him by all accounts a sellout. He sold his soul to a network for years that otherwise would have hijacked Tamera‘s good wig and burnt it in front of her.

To the people who criticise Tamera, indeed, they are in more ways than partial justified in their criticism of her. A Black woman successful at that marrying a white man who by all accounts has made it appear in the past that he supports Fox News and its sentiments (which have been proven time and time again to be quite literally racist.)

I’m neither here nor there but to those who were wondering why Tamera is the brunt of jokes online; criticism, and often dismissed entirely as an actress and a favourite — this is why. It’s because many feel she sold herself and her community out and doesn’t seem to realize that. She sold herself out by marrying a man who knew what he was doing and knew the impression it would make but then disregarded the criticism and concerns — because ya know “misrepresentation.”
