Health officials in Texas are investigating a rare case of the bird flu among humans. According to reports, the bird flu was detected over the weekend in a dairy worker who had presented himself to health officials with mild symptoms.
The Lowdown
CDC reports that the unidentified dairy worker reportedly came down with the bird flu after coming into close contact with infected dairy cattle. The alert also notes that the particular cattle in question was a cow in this case.
Officials say the man had a mild symptom in this case red eyes that later proved to be the avian flu.
