Five former Memphis police who murdered Tyre Nichols have plead not guilty in the tragic case. Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Mills Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith are the officers in the case. Each were fired after an internal investigation early on in the case after news of Nichols death surfaced.
They per reports plead not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression. They are all out on bond. Their next hearing has been scheduled for May 1.
