5. A jury has decided the NFL must pay billions in lawsuit settlement
According to reports, a lawsuit that sought to hold the NFL to account over claims that it inflates its Sunday Ticket prices has been decided at least for now. The New York Times reports that the league has been ordered to pay $5B in damages as a result of the suit that claimed it knowingly inflated said prices and made enormous profits as a result. The NFL has said it intends to appeal the ruling.
6. Pete Arredondo has been indicted over his response to the Uvalde mass shooting.
The former police chief at the center of the Uvalde shooting whose response or lack of one caught national headlines has been arrested. According to the New York Times, Arredondo has been indicted over his response to the 22′ shooting that took place in Uvalde Texas.
