UK airports are set to undergo a huge change that’s probably going to be welcome by just about everyone. According to officials, between now and 2024 brand new much higher-tech scanners are set to be installed in every UK airport which will signal quite a few changes. Among those changes is that people will no longer have to take out their laptops and other devices and toiletries are also getting a facelift. The new rule states that liquids can be 2 liters, around 68 ounces, in their carry-on baggage, the BBC reports.
Meanwhile, American authorities are reminding people that this rule change will not apply to the U.S anytime soon even though some airports do have the advanced scanners (i.e Chicago.)
