Sanctions are back again and this time they’re targeting specific members of Putin ‘s very inner circle. According to the United States, Putin’s family members have been targeted in this round of sanctions and they are expected to be widespread. America has also reportedly sanctioned Sberbank which holds an obscene portfolio of more than 1/3 of all Russian banking assets. US officials have effectively killed most of Russia ‘s banking sector.
The newest sanctions are: Mariya Putina and Katerina Tikhonova (his kids), Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s wife and daughter and members of Russia’s Security Council, including former President and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
